Indiana Metropolitian Planning Organization (MPO) Conference

RSG Senior Consultant, Vince Bernardin, will present “Planning for Sustainability: Evaluating Scenarios” at the 2013 Indiana MPO Conference in Terre Haute, Indiana. This presentation will look at a newly developed two-tier system that gives MPO’s the ability to easily develop multiple land use scenarios in collaboration with the public and the capability to show the public and decision makers the most probable land use which would develop given various policy scenarios.

RSG Senior Engineer Eddie Duncan will be presenting, “Using Public Input to Develop Scientifically Sound Noise Pollution Policy for Vermont’s Rural Land Uses and Communities,” as part of Noise in Communities & Natural Areas, a free public outreach workshop, held in conjunction with NOISE-CON 2013. Noise in Communities & Natural Areas is the fourth in an ongoing series of open, free, public outreach workshops held in U.S. cities. These workshops are intended to inform and educate the public, media, regulatory officials and industry about noise control issues.

Chicago R Users Group August Meeting

Chase Carpenter, a Senior Consultant at RSG's Chicago office, will be presenting an Introduction to Producing Beautiful Graphics in R with ggplot2 at the Chicago R Users Group August Meeting. The statistical computing language R is known for its’ visualization capabilities. The ggplot2 package, developed by Hadley Wickham, is one of the most flexible and powerful plotting packages available in R. In this presentation, Chase will provide practical and hands on advice for how to build beautiful graphics with ggplot2.

RSG Senior Director to Teach MBA Class at the University of Washington, Bothell

RSG Senior Director Nelson Whipple will be teaching a class on New Product Development designed for MBA students at the University of Washington, Bothell. This class will be based off a chapter in The PDMA Toolbook 3, Applying Trade-off Analysis to Get The Most From Customer Needs. The goal for this class for the students to try Max Diff analysis themselves in new product projects required for the course.
