Our culture is professional and informal, emphasizing the values of teamwork, commitment, learning, and ownership.

RSG is an authentically unique company. Since our founding by three Dartmouth professors in 1986, RSG has worked to build a culture of academic rigor, collaboration, and mutual respect. Our culture is professional and informal, rejecting inflexible schedules and strict hierarchies, and instead emphasizing our core values of honoring commitments, playing as a team, embracing the challenge, and thinking like an owner. In addition, our team welcomes a diversity of cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds and perspectives. We believe these values and team diversity foster an important open exchange of ideas and empower our team members to innovate and continuously have significant and positive impacts on our clients and communities.

Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion informs the work we do and helps guide us both as a company and as individuals.

We help clients solve complex challenges. As we shape the future, the results we deliver have a big impact outside our walls. This gives us the chance and duty to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). As a team, we’re creating a culture that values differences. We do this through our volunteerism and activism, which shape the fabric of our company. More than words, we’re weaving DEI into our values. We work to ensure each person feels heard, seen, and represented. Our employee-owners:

  • Lead by example and support causes and initiatives that right societal wrongs and address systemic inequities in the communities we work in and with.
  • Welcome and respect the unique experiences and identities of each employee-owner, including race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, socioeconomic circumstance, national origin, geographic background, immigration status, ability and disability, physical characteristics, veteran status, political ideology, religious belief, and age.
  • Contribute to creating a safe environment that respects the ability of all to engage in dialogue, question, learn, and contribute to our fullest potential.
  • Advance DEI in recruitment, hiring, retention, and promotion and prioritize DEI in policies, practices, training, and procedures.
  • Monitor DEI efforts to ensure that the outcomes bring us closer to reflecting the diversity of the communities we work in and with.

Our DEI work never stops, and we encourage every employee-owner to embrace new experiences and ways of seeing the world. We understand that our people are our greatest source of inspiration and wisdom as we grow, change, and help shape a successful future.

As an employee-owned company, each colleague respects their responsibility to build a financially, socially, and environmentally sustainable company.

We are an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) organization. More than a business structure, being an ESOP means we bring a unique sense of collective responsibility and stewardship to all our endeavors. This is not limited to financial prosperity but extends to social and environmental sustainability. In essence, we are a collective of individuals who embrace our shared vision to shape a successful future for our clients and communities.

As good stewards of our environment, we also aim to reduce our carbon footprint, create sustainable business practices, and stimulate broader industry change. To this end, we have partnered with Evertreen, an environmental organization committed to reforestation efforts and climate action. Through our work, we hope to inspire our colleagues, clients, and communities to join us in adopting more environmentally conscious behaviors.

We take pride in RSG and the culture we've created together.
