Lucia Maloney, PMP

Director

Lucia Maloney is an accomplished and skilled transportation professional. She has over 15 years of combined experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Lucia's primary interests lie in innovative product delivery for local/regional transportation planning efforts and capital projects. She favors a collaborative, hands-on, and results-driven management style. Her technical focus is on understanding household- and person-level travel behavior. To address complex regional planning challenges, Lucia leverages multiple tools and technologies, including RSG’s rMove™.

Prior to joining RSG, Lucia served as Director of the Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), the Carson City Regional Transportation Commission, and Jump Around Carson (JAC) Transit in Carson City, Nevada. Prior to working in Carson City, she worked at the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA/TMPO) overseeing Congestion Management, the agency’s performance-based planning, and long-range, regional land-use planning projects. Early in her career, she served as Senior Research Associate at NuStats, where she was responsible for managing regional and statewide household travel surveys. Lucia's experience brings insightful, relevant, and directly applicable skills to her clients and projects.

Lucia lives in Carson City, Nevada, with her husband and two young children. She enjoys hiking, camping, live music, and college football. Lucia also volunteers on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
