RSG partnered with a major transportation network company to develop a mode choice model for a new air taxi service in two US pilot cities. The work included a stated preference survey and choice modeling to help value the service and supported development of a network model for scenario planning. The choice models accounted for value of time, travel purposes, demographics, and operational elements like access time, travel time, and time savings. The findings helped shape the company’s business model development for the service.
