Ashley Asmus specializes in survey research, qualitative methods, and data analysis to support transportation planning. At RSG, she leads research and analysis projects that pair methodological rigor with actionable insights. Her work often focuses on understanding traveler behavior through thoughtful survey design, data synthesis, and innovative data collection techniques that help clients make informed, people-centered decisions.

Ashley brings prior experience from the public and nonprofit sectors, where she supported research efforts related to social policy and evaluation. Her interdisciplinary background spans environmental science, ecology, and behavioral research—experience she draws on to design studies that reflect real-world complexity and community needs.

Based in Chicago, Ashley enjoys biking and is particularly interested in how data can be translated into compelling, human-centered narratives that support better planning and policy outcomes.
