Their presentation session, titled “Turn Insights Into Action: Uncovering Strategies to Empower PMs to Make Data-Driven Decisions,” will showcase how RSG leverages Resource Planning, dynamic dashboards, hub views, and project reports to provide early insights into project budget performance. Their presentation will discuss the challenges faced, the strategies implemented, and the successes achieved in refining these processes to empower project managers and drive organizational success.

RSG Principal Stephen Lawe will present at the 2024 Utah Transportation Conference from November 5 to November 7, 2024.
Stephen will share insights during two sessions. His first session, “Why travel forecasting is more complex and more important than ever before,” will explore the variability of travel behaviors and the opportunities that can come from addressing these challenges. It will also discuss how to improve forecasting in the planning process and what tools are available. The second session, “Quality of Life and Transportation Planning,” will discuss how Utah DOT's UVision planning process can guide statewide, regional, and area-specific planning and policies to deliver aligned transportation action.

Stephen will also be a panelist during the quality of life and transportation planning session on Wednesday, November 6 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. MT.

RSG Senior Consultant Robert Wertman, AICP, PTP will co-present during the Future INsight 2024 Indiana MPO + IARC Conference on October 16, 2024.

RSG Managing Consultant Jonathan Slason will lead a presentation on Burlington's 2030 District's PTP program during the Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association (CATMA) 2024 Transportation Summit on October 15, 2024.
The presentation, titled “Burlington 2030 District and Property Transportation Plans,” will discuss the Burlington 2030 Districtās goal of reducing transportation emissions by 50% by 2030. Burlington is the home of one of the nationās twenty 2030 Districts. The Burlington 2030 District is a private/public partnership working to reduce building energy consumption, water usage, and transportation emissions by 50% by 2030. Jonathan will share how RSG developed a customized survey to analyze and reduce transportation emissions for employees working in member buildings. This initiative provides detailed insights into annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and offers strategies for supporting sustainable travel behavior changes.

RSG Senior Consultant Andrew Rohne will present during the Indiana Transportation Applications Group (ITAG) Meeting on August 21, 2024.
The presentation, titled “Development of a Truck and Light Commercial Vehicle Model in Indianapolis,” will explore the development of a commercial vehicle model for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) using passively collected data. This model offers valuable insights into commercial vehicle movements within Indianapolis, aiding in more accurate transportation planning and decision-making.

Shawn McCloskey joins RSG as a Managing Consultant and brings over 15 years of expertise in travel behavior research. Shawn has managed several large-scale household travel surveys, including regional, statewide, and national projects.

RSG Senior Analyst Emma Butterfield coauthored a paper she will present during the Transportation Research Board's (TRB) Summer Meeting of the Noise and Vibration Committee (“2024 AEP80 Summer Meeting”) from July 14-17, 2024.
The presentation, titled “Traffic Noise Modeling of Short Safety Barriers in Maryland,” provides an overview of modeling methods for calculating the noise reduction ability of short barriers in Maryland. While commonly constructed for safety, short barriers have been shown to reduce traffic noise in studies conducted by several state departments of transportation. This presentation extends the prior research to include additional sites measured throughout Maryland.

Matthew Ciborowski has joined RSG as Vice President of Planning and Model Applications. He brings over 15 years of experience delivering excellent project outcomes as an accomplished urban planner, transportation expert, thought leader, and project manager.
Throughout his career, Matt has balanced the interface between technical planning and political reality, having managed several multi-million-dollar planning studies, research initiatives, capital investments, and public-private partnership (P3) efforts. He has guided clients through alternatives analysis, service planning, data analysis, master planning, and economic development projects.

RSG Principal Ken Kaliski coauthored a paper that he will present during NOISE-CON 2024 from June 10-12, 2024.
The presentation, titled “Times to Stabilize Sound Metrics in Rural Areas – How Long Should You Monitor?”, will explore how day-to-day rural sound levels can vary significantly over time compared to urban areas. Their findings on the stabilization of various sound level metrics will reveal optimal monitoring durations to capture statistically stable sample recommendations. Another paper that Ken coauthored, “A Collaborative Approach to Low-Frequency Noise Mitigation,” will also be presented by his coauthor during NOISE-CON 2024.

After 35 years at RSG, and 12 years as CEO, Stephen Lawe has transitioned away from company leadership to a Principal role where he will focusĀ on thought leadership, work with clients to bring about transformative change, and continue to mentor the next generation of leaders.

RSGās Board of Directors appointed Tim Young as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) during their May 2024 meeting. Tim Young will continue to serve as RSG's Chief Technology Officer during his appointment as Interim CEO while RSG's Board of Directors initiates a comprehensive search to select RSG's next CEO.

Tim Young joined RSG in March of 2010. Since then, he has led several cross-company initiatives related to RSGās technology vision, strategies, business alignment, and growth. Before joining RSG, Tim was Vice President of Information Technology at Bright Horizons Family Solutions and has held other technology executive positions. He is a member of The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
RSG's Market Leader Mark Fowler and IT Manager Monica Tuckerman will deliver a presentation during the 22nd Annual Vermont Employee Ownership Conference on May 31, 2024.
Their presentation, “Our ESOP Journey,” will be part of a full-day session titled “An Introduction to Employee Ownership” that will gather individuals from across the employee ownership community. Their presentation will explain how an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) works, provide insight into how RSG became an ESOP, and explore how becoming an ESOP can improve workplace culture.
