RSG Principal Ken Kaliski Presenting at INTER-NOISE 2026

RSG Principal Ken Kaliski will present at INTER-NOISE 2026, taking place August 9-12 in Adelaide, Australia.

His presentation, “Quantifying Decibel-Denominated Differences in Community Attitudes Toward Wind Turbines from a Community Survey,” examines how Community Tolerance Level analysis can be used to quantify the personal and situational factors that influence responses to wind turbine noise. The research draws on a national survey of people living near wind projects and considers factors such as prior attitudes, noise sensitivity, compensation, and background sound levels.

INTER-NOISE brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss advances and challenges in noise and vibration control. The 2026 congress theme, “From the outback to the ocean,” reflects a program spanning core acoustics topics as well as issues affecting remote and marine environments.

Following INTER-NOISE, Ken will travel to Sydney to attend the ISO Plenary from August 17-21. As project leader for ISO 1996-1, he will participate in a two-day meeting focused on the standard.
