RSG to Present at the 2026 IDOT Fall Planning Conference

RSG Consultant Michael McCarthy will present at the 2026 IDOT Fall Planning Conference, taking place September 2-4, 2026, in Normal, Illinois.

His presentation, “Modeling Will County: Adapting CMAP’s model for the county’s 2050 LRTP,” will be part of the Travel Demand Modeling Breakout Session, which will focus on recent developments in travel demand model development and applications.

Michael will discuss how RSG adapted components of CMAP’s activity-based regional model to create a county-scale, trip-based model tailored to Will County. Built in TransCAD, the model incorporates many of CMAP’s socioeconomic projections while being calibrated to county-level data.

RSG looks forward to connecting with transportation professionals at the conference and sharing insights from this work as part of broader conversations around advances in travel demand modeling.
