Amulya Lomte combines experimental testing, analytical modeling, and data analysis to solve complex acoustical challenges and develop practical engineering solutions. Her work includes characterizing the sound absorption and transmission loss of porous materials, developing simulation and analytical models to predict and optimize noise reduction performance, and examining how material microstructure influences acoustic behavior. She translates these technical findings into actionable insights.
Amulya brings experience in porous material characterization, noise reduction optimization, acoustic testing, computer-aided design (CAD), and additive manufacturing. She has authored multiple publications, including peer-reviewed journal papers, and has presented her research on passive noise control materials at technical conferences. In 2023, she received the Leo Beranek Student Medal for Excellence in the Study of Noise Control from the Institute of Noise Control Engineering of the USA (INCE-USA) and won the NOISE-CON Student Paper Competition. She has also served as a student coordinator for INCE-USA, supporting NOISE-CON 2023 and 2024.
Based in California, Amulya enjoys reading, hiking with her dog, and photography.
