Charlie Phippen is RSG’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this role, he is responsible for leading RSG’s strategic direction, financial performance, and operational execution. Working closely with the leadership team, Charlie drives growth, enhances client engagement, and advances RSG’s role as a leader in data-driven insights, research, and analytics for transportation and technology. With a strong background in finance, technology, market research, and sales strategy, he brings a data-driven, client-centric approach to RSG’s services and solutions.

Before joining RSG, Charlie served as CEO of Water Tower Research, where he led efforts to deliver deep market insights across multiple industries, helping companies better connect with investors and clients. Previously, as Chief Operating Officer of an S&P business unit, he oversaw operations, technology, and strategy, while also driving sales initiatives and business development efforts. His expertise in finance, technology, corporate strategy, and sales—combined with his work at S&P and Water Tower Research—has equipped him with the expertise to drive data-driven planning, policy, and investment decisions. Throughout his career, he has focused on operational efficiency, revenue growth, business transformation, and, more recently, AI-driven solutions to drive client impact.

Outside of RSG, Charlie is a dedicated family man and an avid sailor who enjoys spending time on the water. He is passionate about innovation, emerging technologies, and the future of work. He lives in Connecticut with his family and enjoys exploring new ways to integrate technology into everyday life.
