Senior Modeling Analyst

William Alexander has expertise in travel demand forecasting, data pipeline development, and transportation network modeling. He supports state departments of transportation and metropolitan planning organizations by developing and calibrating both activity-based and four-step travel demand models. His work includes integrating passively collected data sources, analyzing large-scale household travel surveys, and enhancing model functionality using open-source frameworks such as ActivitySim.

At RSG, Will contributes to projects involving visitor and airport model development, big data integration, and land use forecasting. He has supported model enhancements for clients in Florida, Michigan, California, New Hampshire, and Washington. His technical skill set includes optimization, statistical analysis, and software engineering, with a focus on creating accessible and reliable modeling tools that help clients make data-informed decisions.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Will is based in Austin, Texas. He enjoys hiking, biking, and is a licensed amateur radio operator.
