Hugo Rost

Hugo Rost supports RSG’s acoustics work with specialized experience in sound measurement, data analysis, data visualization, and sound propagation modeling. He has contributed to noise assessments and compliance studies for energy infrastructure, outdoor venues, and mixed-use developments. His work includes fieldwork and data processing for long-term acoustic monitoring, meteorological and spatial data analysis, and GIS-based sound propagation modeling. Hugo also assists in RSG’s transportation work by managing field survey operations and performing data validation for household travel surveys.

His project experience spans locations across the United States, where he has provided analysis and technical documentation to support regulatory submissions at the local, state, and federal levels. Hugo is an associate member of the Acoustical Society of America and a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering. His contributions to industry research include co-authored publications on rural background sound levels and wind turbine noise monitoring, and he has presented at national acoustics conferences.

Outside of work, Hugo enjoys bike rides, wildlife photography, tabletop and card games, and spending time with his cat and reptiles. He also plays piano and bass guitar and practices with a small band.
