RSG conducts studies and planning for efficient, cost-effective freight movement and logistics in urban, metropolitan and statewide settings. Using quantitative data, incisive analysis, and stakeholder engagement, we develop practical, achievable plans and strategies that help harmonize freight movement needs with economic development, natural environment and community quality of life priorities.
We are also innovators in simulating the shipments of goods from buyers to suppliers and identifying the type of distribution channel each shipment will likely use based on the complexity of the supply chain. We have developed new methods to simulate shipments along supply chains and integrate these shipments with pick-up and delivery systems of goods in metropolitan areas. RSG also evaluates trade-offs that suppliers make in determining the modes used to transport goods and any transfer facilities necessary along the way.
